A Little About Us
We’re Mike and Sarah — the father and daughter team behind Hoof Print Memories.
What started as a simple idea between us grew into a way to hold onto the moments, horses, and memories that mean the most to us.
Mike has worked with his hands for most of his life and puts a lot of care into every frame he makes, while Sarah grew up around horses and understands the connection between horse and owner.
Together, we wanted to create something meaningful — handcrafted keepsakes that feel personal, lasting, and full of character.
How They Are Made
We make every frame by hand using hand picked wood and real horseshoes, carefully bringing everything together piece by piece. Each frame is unique just like the horses you have shared your memories with.
The Wood
Every frame starts with reclaimed wood that’s chosen for its natural grain, texture, and character. Mike works each piece by hand, bringing out all the little details that make it unique.
Sometimes we’ll use milk paint, stains, or sealers depending on the look of the frame, but we always try to let the natural beauty of the wood shine through as much as possible.
The Horseshoes
Some horseshoes come with years of wear and history, while others are brand new. Either way, each one has its own character, and Mike takes the time to pair them with the wood so everything feels like it belongs together. Sometimes newer horseshoes are shaped by hand to give them a more naturally worn look, helping them fit in with the style of the frame. Every horseshoe is chosen with care, because each shoe is unique just like the memory to be displayed.
Final Assembly
In the final stage, everything is brought together by hand. The horseshoes are placed just as they would be on a horse, keeping that sense of tradition and care in every frame.
Mike takes his time with the finishing details, making sure everything feels balanced and fits together naturally before the frame is complete. What’s left is a one of a kind piece, ready to hold your favorite memories.
